Preliminary Sequence - Feed The Fish Evaluation

For our preliminary sequence we did feed the fish. We showed the class and we got some feedback on how we had one, and what we needed to improve. One of the strengths was the filming, we kept a steady camera  by using the tripod when needed. We also used a lot of different camera angles whilst filming different parts of it. We had two examples of match on action in our shots, these ended up working well and looked good when it was all put together. The use of framing in our shots was good, we didn't have any 'dead space', which kept our shots interesting. We also were told that our editing was good, especially when the character was walking through the corridor. The main criticism that we were given was that the filming of the character walking everywhere to finally get the the room was a bit boring as it went on for a long time, we were told to next time add something else in, or try using parallel editing. We were also told that in one of the shots the lighting created a silhouette which meant you couldn't really see the characters which we would of needed to change next time. Overall the shots went well together and when we edited it all it ended up looking good. All the group were happy with the shots and agreed with the criticisms.
